General
Announcements
I.
Neighborhood Safety
Briefing
Leo has a police officer coming to talk about safety around town. Moved to 8:45 PM
II.
Visitor Parking
If you still need a visitor-parking pass, they are available in Phil’s room. If the pass is not placed in the windshield where the numbers are showing, it will be towed. Make sure it is completely visible.
III.
Commons Crew
Details are being done pretty good. Details will be posted a week to two weeks in advance. Once they are posted, they do not change. Check board often.
IV.
Informal Meeting
Meeting Sunday at 8:00 PM
V.
Fire Alarm
If alarm goes off, get out of the building. If a red light is going off on the smoke alarm in your room, then your room set it off. Meet in the corridor between the kitchen and south building, where the officers and board members will meet. We have one minute to find where the alarm was set off.
Fire Inspection: March 9
There will be a fire inspection once a month. If Armando asks you to fix a fire violation, you must fix it before the next fire inspection, or you will be fined. Victoria says that you need to check your doors to make sure they close by themselves, when opened half way.
Fire strips must be in all rooms. All outlets require it. If you buy them through CLO, you can sell them back at the end of the semester.
VI.
Officer Assistant
This position is a good way to get familiar with an officer position, or leadership qualities. If they are working hard enough, they can be compensated by getting out of common’s crew details.
VII.
Bathroom Managers
Phil has one of the last keys for the paper towel dispensers. If you need the key, go to Phil’s room and ask for it. If he is not in there, leave a message on his door. Make sure to bring it back promptly.
Residents are doing a good job on saving energy by turning off lights and taking shorter showers. We were expected to be in the red this month, but we are about $3,000 good.
If you are missing items for details let your managers know, do not take the equipment out of the bathrooms to do other details.
II.
Officer Reports
I.
President
Brochures are being mailed out. If you see anybody using our dumpster, tell them “Please don’t use our dumpster, it is for our own use only.” and/or come tell Phil so he can talk to him. Michaelia says that the people from the printing place have been throwing their trash into our trash. We plan to put down our trash pickup to once a week, and possibly getting a larger dumpster. If residents have any questions about common’s crew, talk to Phil.
II.
Vice-President
Armando was working, Phil covered. Thanks for all the help in the workdays. Everything that was planned to be done was accomplished. On the next workdays, rooms will be refurbished, and the kitchen wall will be painted. CLOnes take a poll to keep map on kitchen wall. He plans to move bike racks to other side of CLO because of thefts and complaints. The wrong amp was installed on the girls A/C. He paid $250 for an electrician to come and fix it. The electrician will be back out to make sure that it is still fixed. There will be a possible bike auction for upcoming meeting for bikes that were removed from the bike racks. There will be signs posted when the auction will be held.
III.
Kitchen Manager
Some people still have not signed up for details. All residents must have three details. There is no more space in March, must sign up for April. Leo is trying to work out something for Armando to put some work details for the kitchen for the next workday. If you have any ideas about menus for Lori, write them down and give to Leo. If you have any request for equipment, talk to Leo or Anthony (KMA). There is a new mop for the kitchen to keep the floor looking good. Joe will buy a few more. Sign up on the kitchen usage sheet posted on the wall in front of the wall. Anything that is done in the kitchen, you must sign up on the sheet. After 11 PM, consider the kitchen closed. Keep things clean, and do not try to get into the fridges, especially ones that locked. After 12 AM, late plates are available for anyone to take. If residents bring a guest, and their name is not on the guest sign up sheet before they start eating, the resident will be fined and charged for the late plate. The temperature was messed up on the dishwasher, but it should be fixed by Thursday. There is another drink dispenser, so there should be options at every meal. If residents sign up for late plates, they are not allowed to eat at dinner unless eating out of late plate. Late plates are expensive; they must be used just for late plates. If residents plan to take food after lunch or dinner, bring your own plate. Do not take silverware or dishes out of the kitchen.
IV.
Secretary
Randy is updating mailing sheets for residents who moved out. If you have a mailbox that you can’t get into or you do not have a key to, Randy will get you a new mailbox. If Armando has already changed over your mailbox, let Randy know so he can update the mailbox.
V.
Public relations
Victoria has well over 1,000 flyers. Flyer runs will be done over the next couple of weeks and she wants them placed near the dorm rooms and in windshields. The new brochures are done. Dennis spent a lot of time working on the brochure and making it professional. Thursday is the last night for new member’s test. Informal will be February 23. If you cannot make it and want to sign up to be auctioned off, let Victoria know. The theme is Mardi Gras. Also, sign up to do a skit.
VI.
Treasurer
Rent is due Thursday, put it in the black box. Eric will be around CLO if residents need to pay cash. Try to get it done by 5 PM; it is due by 6 PM. If more financial information is wanted, come to board meeting, or ask Eric.
